Annual Grants to support clinical and basic science research for early-career principal investigators. This grant opportunity aims to train early-career surgeons as principal investigators, perform the primary role in generating the hypothesis, design the experiment, carry it out, and interpret the results with the assistance of an experienced supervisor and/or investigative team. Generally, applications go through pre-review in February. Final proposals are submitted May through June. Notifications begin in July for projects to begin in August.
