Funding for Programs Improving Access to Health Services in Michigan (USA)
GrantID: 75209
Grant Funding Amount Low: $1,000
Deadline: Ongoing
Grant Amount High: $10,000
Summary
This grant cycle is intended to support nonprofit organizations whose mission is to advance health, wellness, and food security. Only organizations with nonprofit status (or other eligible public entities like schools or governmental units) can apply.
There are two distinct grant tracks this cycle. One is a Programmatic Grant supporting ongoing services, programs, or initiatives that address health, nutrition, mental wellness, preventive health, or social and emotional support. Grants in this track typically range from $1,000 up to $10,000, and in total the foundation has allocated around $50,000 for that fund. The second track is a Proactive Grant with a special focus on food security—helping nonprofits expand access to healthy, affordable food, support food pantries or related systems. The total pool for this food security grant is about $40,000.
Proposals are evaluated for alignment with community health goals, sustainability, capacity, and local impact. Funds may be used for program costs, staffing, outreach, supplies, operations, or small capital needs directly linked to the program goals. The foundation prioritizes work that can measurably improve health outcomes, increase food access, or strengthen community wellness infrastructure.
Fall Programmatic and Proactive grants are annual cycles. Spring Capital and other grants recur annually or as funds permit.
